Siemens PLC

AMPAC USA, a leading provider of residential, commercial, industrial and emergency water purification systems is dedicated to making purification an easy process for all the customers. Moving forward towards this objective, the company has just announced that it plans to launch a PLC Controller that allows remote monitoring.

Explaining the technicalities of the new innovation, a spokesperson representing the California-based company stated, “An advanced controller is installed on several reverse osmosis water treatment systems by AMPAC USA provides an Ethernet port which can be easily connected to a router to allow communications via WLAN or over the internet.”

"Humans are changing the world with technology, why water should be left behind"

Sammy Farag, CEO

It is pertinent to add that robust and modern controllers are manufactured by Siemens, a widely trusted manufacturing and electronics company. The controllers have an integrated web server which will allow every user to log in from any computer or mobile device to check the status and run the water system, no matter whether there is close proximity to the machine or not. The innovation also allows downloading of logged data which is stored in an added SD card present in the controller.

Commenting on the usability of the innovative application, the spokesperson mentioned that the controllers are very compatible with a conventional browser which ensures easy access by people who are not so tech-friendly. The spokesperson also shared details of installation as well by stating, “AMPAC is fully capable of adding these control systems into brackish reverse osmosis or seawater systems. We can also retrofit them into the existing reverse osmosis systems of all makes and models.”

Another provision has also been made for mobile-friendly users. A user can request a module for a SIM card which automatically sends an SMS to the operator when certain occurrence has taken place. For instance, a user can get an SMS during tank low condition.

Explaining the outer surface of the control panel, the spokesperson highlighted “It has a6 line LCD display for hour meter, status, flushing, water quality standard and tank levels. The users also have the option of extra instrumentation which can provide remote display of pressures, flow rates, recovery percentage, water pH and salt rejection percentage.”

Concluding the update, the spokesperson said, “This application is available for the users of smartphones that have an iOS operating system right now. But we are planning to launch it for smartphones with Android operating systems soon. Our aim here is to make water purification management as easy and painless as it can be. We want our customers to have total control over the water purification at all times so that they can find it easy to manage our products for the long term.”

It seems that the company is trying hard to ensure that the lives of all its customers are made easy and is succeeding in the effort.
